Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts

A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his initial trophy for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.

Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult year, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.

The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with long-time coach Cervara.

Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.

This represents Medvedev's first trophy after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.

Success also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different tournaments.

"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my children at once, so to secure a trophy is really nice," stated tennis professional Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the first title I got when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."

Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in that event in the past months.

His counter-punching play style and frequent emotional displays on court had prompted observers to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was over.

Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced service.

The champion fought back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the last five games to take the lead.

The competitors traded service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour title, took control to push for a final set.

The opponent saved four early break points in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.

Appropriately, the winner secured the title with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
